Launching "Stavian - For a Greener Vietnam" Campaign
Yen Bai, December 02, 2022 – Stavian Group held a ceremony to launch the latest CSR campaign “Stavian – For a Greener Vietnam”, donating 20,000 seedlings to La Pan Tan and De Xu Phinh communes, Mu Cang Chai district, Yen Bai province.
In response to the Project "1 billion trees - For a green Vietnam" launched by the Prime Minister, Stavian Group collaborated with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and Yen Bai province to launch the CSR campaign “Stavian – For a Greener Vietnam”, donating 20,000 seedlings to La Pan Tan and De Xu Phinh communes, Mu Cang Chai district, Yen Bai province. The aim is to reforest more than 50 hectares of bare hills and low-yielding forest areas in the two communes.
This is another attempt of Stavian Group to join hands in protecting the environment and promoting sustainable development, fighting climate change, and accompanying the Vietnamese Government on its implementation roadmap of the Glasgow Climate Pact. Besides its environmental impact, “Stavian – For a Greener Vietnam” also contributes to Mu Cang Chai’s socio-economic development and supports local people, especially ethnic minorities whose lives depend on nature, to increase their incomes and improve their lives sustainably when choosing species with high economic value, including pine, chestnut, and “Doi” pepper (a valued Vietnamese spice from the Michelia plant), to grow in the locality.
Representing Stavian Group, Mr. Nguyen Duc Ha shared:
“Stavian Group always aims to create sustainable values, upholding human and environmental factors. As the impact of climate change is seriously increasing, these values are getting more necessary. We are very pleased to cooperate with the Ministry of Natural Resources & Environment and Yen Bai province to launch "Stavian – For a Greener Vietnam", bringing benefits not only to nature but also to local people, and Yen Bai’s economic development. We hope that this campaign will motivate more businesses to join hands to protect the environment and create more green values across Vietnam."
Mr. Nong Viet Yen, Secretary of Mu Cang Chai Party Committee cum Chairman of Mu Cang Chai People's Council, said:
"Mu Cang Chai has worked closely with the district Forest Protection Department to promote propaganda regarding forest protection and development. I believe that officials and people of La PanTan and De Xu Phinh communes will actively take care of these trees to improve the environment and their lives in a sustainable way”.
At the event, Stavian Group also presented gifts to local plights in La Pan Tan and De Xu Phinh communes with the hope of helping these households and students have a better Tet holiday.
In the coming time, Stavian Group will continue to carry out more diverse CSR campaigns to better contribute to the development of Vietnam's economy and society as well as to ensure a highly sustainable business operation, especially towards communities and localities where the Group operates.
